Gunnar Wennerberg (1817-1901) was a Swedish politician and composer who wrote the song cycle Gluntarne between 1847-1850. It’s a song cycle with 30 duets for barytone and bass, and depicts episodes from the student life in Uppsala. The word Gluntarne means “the boys” in old Upplandic dialect,
