Baldur is an artist project by 25-year-old Faroese-Danish-Greenlandic songwriter and musician Baldur Heinesen. Along with bandmates Valdemar Lyckegaard, Daphne Sander, Mark Vang, Kornelius Kleinwächter and Christian Mathias Laursen, Baldur fuses energetic nu-disco with synthpop in the space between the electronic and the organic.

The music centres on strong melodies, groove, and sci-fi-tinged metaphorical lyrics, written and performed in English, and works equally well for live shows, dance floors, and headphone listening alike, balancing energetic momentum with a more contemplative edge.

Baldur released his debut single “M” in May 2025, followed by “Girl from the Planet Next to Venus” in October the same year. In spring 2026, he released the singles “Sporty Girls” and “Sleaze Police”, leading towards the upcoming EP Future Sports. Future Sports is a seven-track EP that defines Baldur’s musical landscape through sci-fi-inspired synthesizers, high tempos, and sports-driven energy. The EP is set for release in early May 2026 and marks Baldur’s entry onto the North Atlantic, Scandinavian, and European music scenes.
